Celebrating the most 'improved' sailor is a very special award. Each recipient struggles with a different physical, cognitive or sensory challenge, so what new abilities each may be able to learn is unique to them.

​For one it might be learning to steer their boat, trim their sails, to solo sail, for example, or to commit to regular sails if their condition restricts them from learning sailing skills. What they all share in common is that they all set a goal and have achieved it! The increase in their self-confidence and pride in their new abilities is a special reward they take into all aspects of their life.
